Bio
Li Tyler Has earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Eastern Kentucky University and currently resides in Winchester Kentucky
with her husband David. After, raising two sons she decided to turn her attention back to her interest in art and enrolled at EKU.
She enjoys painting a variety of subjects that inspire her and the challenge of oil painting using traditional techniques.
While at EKU, she was commissioned along with the Chair of the Art Department at Eastern Kentucky University to paint a fiberglass
horse for Horse Mania 2010, sponsored by LexArts. Li has sold many commissioned works as well as other sales.
Li also created a painting in response to September 11, 2001 which is now in the private collection of the Pentagon. She was also
commissioned to paint a door for the Lexington Area Cultural Council’s Dynamic Doors, Portals to Creativity. The Bluegrass Heritage
Museum commissioned her to paint three large landscape window panels for one of their galleries. She has had her work displayed in:
Cathedral Gallery, Lexington Kentucky; Miller’s Fine Art and Framing, Lexington, Kentucky; Guild House Gallery, Winchester, Kentucky;
the Lexington Art League Members Gallery, Lexington, Kentucky, and many juried shows. She displayed her work as a guest artist in the
Lexington Art League’s Meridian Gallery, and has had a Solo show at Central Bank Gallery, Lexington, Kentucky.
